Tarleton is now exhibiting the work of the traditional and art quilts of our own hometown Dublin Rippers.
The exhibit is located in the Clyde H Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery and runs through Aug. 20.

Suzann Thompson specializes in crochet and specializes in crochet and knitting, and began incorporating those crafts into wall quilts in the 1990s. Her work was featured in the Langdon Review of the Arts in Texas, Vol. 14, 2017-2018.
Elaine Fields Smith created a music-themed quilt that was previusly featured at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Gallery to raise funds for the Stephenville Music Club.
The Rippers began as a weekly bee, where friends gathered to work on their projects and talk. The pandemic stopped the meetings for over a year, which halted most of the talking, but not the making.
The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
