Investigation closed on fire

Erath County Fire Marshal Tommy Shelton concluded his investigation last week into the fire at Dublin’s Dollar General and determine that there was no “incendiary cause.”

This indicates that the fire was accidental.

The fire occurred on June 8 and resulted in a total loss of property and the building.

Staff were counting the cash drawer at the end of the night when they saw flames in the back of the store and ran out of the front.

Dublin VFD and other local agencies were up all night fighting the fire.
