Several movies were playing at the Majestic Theatre. Friday was “Two Sisters From Boston”. Saturday’s Matinee and night show were “Little Giant”. Sunday and Monday was “Tomorrow is Forever”. Tuesday was a double feature of “One Way to Love” and “West of the Alamo”. Thursday and Friday’s show was “From This Day Forward”.

June 3, 1971
A Skytel Drive-In Movie screen that had been damaged by tornado winds was pictured on the front page of the Dublin Progress. Strong winds had snapped the steel cables in two and the poles holding up the screen were broken about one to three feet from the ground.

Two couples were celebrating milestone anniversaries. R.C. and Jewel Rich Whiteley were celebrating their 40th anniversary, they were married on June 2, 1956. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shillingburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 8, 1946 at the First United Methodist Church in Dublin.
