The Majestic was playing several films. Friday night was “The Virginian”. Saturday’s matinee and night show was “Melody Ranch”. Sunday and Monday played “Bad Bascom”. Tuesday and Wednesday was a double feature of “Behind Green Lights” and “Colorado Pioneers” and Thursday and Friday featured “Cornered”.

Vic Gaines, president of the Little League Association announced the coaches for the summer season. There were four little league teams and three Pee Wee teams. Little League coaches were: Rayford Jaggars (Young Farmer team), Jerry Woods (Rotary team), Tommy Davis (Fire Dept. team) and Warren Bell (Lions Club team). Pee Wee coaches were Garvin Hendon, Dale Cox and Maurice Fields. The first game was June 1 and a list of players was published in the following edition.

Nine year old, Amber Hillburn, was transported to Harris Methodist after a car crashed through a home. The driver, Kimber Taylor, was uninjured. At press time the condition of Hillburn was unknown. Darla Qualla, who was also inside the residence said, “There were five of us sitting in the living room when the front of the house just caved in.” The car driven by Taylor was a ’82 Ford, also struck a ’93 Pontiac before hitting the house.
