April 12, 1946

The Majestic was playing several films. Friday was “Miss Susie Slagles” featuring Sonny Tufts and Veronica Lake. Saturday’s matinee and night show was “Rancho Grande” starring Gene Autry. Sunday and Monday was “Up Goes Maisie”. Tuesday and Wednesday was a double feature of “A Letter For Evie” and “Roaring Rangers” and Thursday and Friday played “Frontier Gal”.

April 15, 1971

Henderson’s Super Market advertised prices of groceries for April 15th-17th. Keith’s French Fried Potatoes were 3 for $1.00. Fresh green cabbage was 10 cents a pound and fresh ground meat was priced at 59 cents.

April 18, 1996

A photo of a single vehicle roll-over involving two young men from Dublin was featured on the front page. The wreck took place early Saturday morning near the Senior Citizens Center on Clinton St. The two men, Jorge Antonio Gonzales (18) and Malachi Dominguez (19) were charged with public intoxication and a third passenger who was not charged. No injuries were reported.
