For people who would like to get little fresh air and enjoy the warmer weather, Comanche recommended their City Park in a recent article highlighting some features of the park. Recommended activities include Disc Golf and wooden statues that are throughout the park.

Hico high school students are academic district champs after their recent win at the District 11-2A Academic UIL competition on March 22. Students involved in UIL were pictured with their ribbons. Regional competition will be April 14th-17th at Grayson College in Denison.

DeLeon ISD approved the hiring of a new Athletic Director, Jacob Marowitz, during Monday night’s meeting. Marowitz graduated from Comanche High School and Tarleton University in 2010 with a degree in Kinesiology. He is also currently the offensive coordinator for football and head track coach at Godley ISD.

A photo of a wall cloud with some rotation marked the start of spring storms with heavy rains and tornado warnings along with small hail on Wednesday. The rain was much needed and area rainfall reports ranged from .8 to 2.7 inches.
