Special Easter events set for Dublin

The Dublin Citizen will be closed Friday, April 2 in observance of Good Friday and the Easter holiday Sunday on April 4.

Several special worship services and community events have been planned to celebrate Easter.

Dublin First United Methodist Church will host several services including a Maundy Thursday service with communion tonight at 6:30 p.m. and a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. FUMC will join together with Greens Creek Methodist Church for an Easter sunrise service Sunday in the atrium followed by a free pancake breakfast. This will be followed by the regular service at 11 a.m.

Trinity Anglican Church will host Good Friday services at 6:30 p.m and an Easter Mass at 9 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Double N Cowboy Church will host a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. and chuckwagon breakfast at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday prior to Easter services at 10 a.m. This will be followed by an Easter Egg hunt.

Saint Mary’s Catholic Church will have a Holy Thursday service tonight at 7 p.m., a Good Friday service Friday at 7 p.m., a Holy Saturday service at 8 p.m. and an Easter Sunday service at 9 a.m.

Even those local Christian churches that aren’t holding special services will likely have an Easter morning service on April 4. The Dublin Citizen wishes everyone a safe Easter.
