The Smith Company (located next to the post office) advertised a Big Bankrupt Sale for their entire stock of men’s goods starting on March 18th at 9 am. Clothing, shoes, hats, coats and many other items were featured in a full page advertisement. “Men – Bring your wives to this big sale. They will enjoy the carnival of bargain giving and we are willing to have their expert judgment as to the quality and style of our offerings.”
