The Dublin City Council canceled its May elections and discussed living quarters for EMS staff during its regular meeting Monday.
The vote to cancel elections came after the May 1 City Council races only drew the filing of incumbents Darrell Curry and Sammy Moore for Place 3 and Place 5 respectively. Since there are no challengers, both candidates automatically win their races.
City Manager Bobby Mendez spoke to council members about the EMS living quarters with options including a new stand alone building in the parking lot or tearing down the adjoining rock building that’s in disrepair and putting a new building there. Council members approved the city to look into funding.
Council members also voted to appoint Bill Tidmore on the Board of Adjustments to replace Don Barber.
