The National Health & Public Safety History Museum invites the public to three special events set Jan. 20 and Jan. 21.
Drones: The New First Responder
Jan. 20, 6:30 p.m.
This special presentation features Marc Langley, President of Airborne Works and Founder of the National Public Safety Drone Donation Program. Mr. Langley will be speaking on the history of drones in first response, how drones are being used, what technologies are chaging the face of emergency response and how departments are creating their own drone programs. This event is open to the public.
Joining Mr. Langley on our Knights stage will be the “grandfather of drone search and rescue” Gene Robinson. Robinson, a pioneer in drone aviation and retired military medic will be speaking on the magic of Loc8. Loc8 is a comprehensive solution that empowers search and rescue volunteers, emergency responders, and government agencies to quickly scan images from drone footage to locate missing people or objects by using advanced image scanning technology.
First responders and their agencies are encouraged to attend. This event will be held in the Knights Theater.
Following the presentation, attendees are encouraged to witness a drone demonstration featuring some of the latest technologies being used in the field today including Loc8.
Expert tours in the museum!
Jan. 21 Noon-3:30 p.m.
Starting at noon, special guests will be giving expert tours of the National Health & Public Safety History Museum. Explore the world of forensic science and how evidence is detected using the light spectrum from Innovator/Inventor Mario Cugini. Mr. Cugini comes to us from Oceanside, California and is the creator of forensic lights used around the world.
Drones: Eyes In The Skies

This special presentation features Clayton Regan. Mr. Regan is currently the Professional Standards Commander for the Midlothian, Texas Police Department and is the Training Director for the North Texas Public Safety Unmanned Response Team (PSURT). This program will give insight into livestreaming from the air, new mapping technologies, using drones in the post-disaster environment as well as how drones are utilized in law enforcement.
This event is open to the public.
First responders and their agencies are encouraged to attend. This event will be held in the Knights Theater.
Following the presentation, attendees are encouraged to join us at the Dublin Airport for a drone demonstration featuring the live mapping of a massive mock incident.
