The Erath County Grand Jury returned eight indictments on Sept. 9. They included:
Jody Carranza, 33, evading arrest or detention (with a vehicle), a third-degree felony;
Steven Guy Ewing, 55, driving while intoxicated (third or more offense, enhanced), a third-degree felony;
Matthew Logan Ezzell, 28, possession of a substance in penalty group 1 (less than one gram), a state jail felony;
Jacob Alan Hadden, 30, possession of a substance in penalty group 1 (less than one gram), a state jail felony;
Justin Tyrone Kincheloe, 26, unauthorized use of a vehicle, a state jail felony;
Joel Ernest Perez, 39, possession of a substance in penalty group 1 (less than one gram, enhanced), a state jail felony;
Jeffery Kenneth Rogers, 60, murder, a first-degree felony;
Eloy Ruiz-Morantes, 27, driving while intoxicated (third or more offense), a third-degree felony;
