Grace Place Ministries is excited to announce its annual fundraiser, on Friday, May 8. “Songs of Grace: A Night of Music and Giving” promises to be a spectacular evening that will feature a performance by the renowned gospel group McNeill Project, along with delicious hors d’oeuvres, delectable desserts, and a silent and live auction - all to support the vital work of Grace Place Ministries.

First Baptist Church, Stephenville doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert starting at 6:30 p.m. Come early to enjoy appetizers, peruse the silent auction items and to place your bids. The silent auction will close after the concert while you enjoy a variety of delicious desserts. Strong community participation is anticipated and generous sponsorships, donations and silent auction bids will help Grace Place reach their fundraising goal of $45,000.

The fundraiser features a special performance by The McNeill Project, a family music group (10 children, plus son-in-law) who feature praise & worship, bluegrass, a Capella, country gospel, and the great hymns of old. The McNeills have won GMAA Group of the Year in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023, as well as GMAA Band of the Year in 2020 and 2022.

Proceeds from this year’s event will primarily support facility expansion at Grace Place to replace old (failing) chest freezers with large commercial freezers. In addition, we plan to add a covering/porch and some benches to protect clients and provide seating when they arrive early and are waiting outside. Additionally, the fundraiser aims to raise awareness about the essential programs Grace Place provides, and proceeds will provide essential funds for groceries, financial assistance, and other necessities for families in need.

Grace Place Ministries has been a pillar of support in Erath County for over 20 years, providing groceries, diapers, toiletries, school supplies, heaters, financial assistance, and more to local families. With only one part-time employee and a team of over 40 dedicated volunteers that contributed over 3,600 volunteer hours in 2025, the organization ensures that every dollar donated directly benefits those in need.

In 2025, Grace Place provided assistance to 4,488 families, including 322 first-time families. The ministry provided groceries to 3,593 families and pledged almost $68,000 in financial aid for essential services such as rent, utilities, and medical needs.

This event is an opportunity to hear songs of faith and hope that will encourage your life while you make a positive difference in the lives of local families. Mark your calendars for May 8th and be part of this important mission!
