The Dublin community is invited to help Keep Dublin Beautiful as the group hosts a trash-off event this Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in conjunction with Keep Texas Beautiful’s April Greatest American Cleanup events.
According to KTB, The Greatest American Cleanup is a nationwide call to action— uniting neighbors, organizations, and local leaders to clean, beautify, and reimagine their communities. Litter cleanups, recycling drives, and beautification projects all add up to healthier, more vibrant places to live.
KDB will organize volunteers at Wright Park downtown Saturday, April 25 and hand out bags and vests before volunteers disperse to Hwy. 377 and Hwy. 6 outside of Dublin to gather and bag highway litter on the roads leading into Dublin.
Utona Grundy of KDB reported volunteers under 18 should be accompanied by an adult and the organization can provide signatures for those wanting credit for volunteer hours.
“It helps us keep the community clean and it’s an easy way for people to get involved and give back,” Grundy said.
Keep Dublin Beautiful aims to keep the community vibrant and also maintains downtown potted plants and the Dublin Market Days held the third Saturday (April 18) at the City Park pavilion from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
