Wild Adventures: A smart Zoo experience set for Sunday, Feb. 22
I Heart Cookies will be hosting Wild Adventure: a Smart Zoo experience from noon to 6 p.m. at Lot P28 in front of Tarleton Memorial Stadium at 601 N. Harbin Dr.
This one-of-a-kind event features hyper-realistic and fully animatronic animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, pandas, monkeys, a smoke breathing 40ft King Cobra, brand new dinosaurs and deep dish cookies.
Admission is a $5 cookie purchase. Additional features include performances by “Trixie” a walking baby Triceratops, a fully immersible virtual reality aquarium, soft play equipment for kids to play, climb and crawl through (Bear, Frog, Tiger, Hippo), three fossil dig pits and facepainting.
Texan Theaters Musical Little Shop of Horror set this week Look out! It's a man-eating plant! Audrey II, Seymour and a whole cast of characters will star in the Texan Theatres Musical Little Shop of Horrors this weekend at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, Friday, Feb. 20 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22. Admission ranges from $10 to $25.
Home Improvement Vendor Expo set March 12
Dowell Ace Hardware is hosting a Home Improvement Vendor Expo set for Thursday, March 12 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at City Hall at City Limits in Stephenville.
Organizers describe the free event by saying: “From home renovation and construction to landscaping to décor and technology, this Expo is designed to help you make informed decisions and kick off the spring season with confidence.”
While there, homeowners will be able to discover innovative products, meet trusted local businesses, ask questions and compare ideas and connect with professionals. There will also be drawings for a Maytag washer and dryer set as well as a 55” television, courtesy of Giffords TV & Electronics.

EGGStravaganza donations underway
The Dublin Citizen and Dairy Queen are now accepting donations of wrapped candy, Scotch tape and small toys that fit inside Easter eggs for the community-wide hunt.
Drop off items at either location and all donations are appreciated.
There is also an Amazon registry for the event online for those who may want to simply contribute that way.
