Dublin High School senior Morgan Keith was joined by family, friends and school administration Thursday, Jan. 29 as she signed to attend Howard Payne University and play in the band. Head Dublin ISD band director Cathryn Smith stated her pride in the drum major and was particularly happy that Keith was signing with her alma mater. Jonathan Kraemer of HPU was on hand for the signing and said, “ We are very excited to have Morgan coming to join us in our ranks at HPU,” citing a rich history of band directors attending the university. DISD Superintendent Melissa Summers stated her appreciation for HPU’s support of the student, saying she knows Morgan will be in good hands.
