Signups for the annual Dublin Chamber of Commerce Ambassador pageant are now underway through Friday, Feb. 6 and this year the pageant will be providing a true show that encapsulates the spirit of Dublin.
Little Miss Dublin will be held at 7 p.m. March 12 and Junior Miss and Miss Dublin will be held March 13. Both pageants will be at the Dublin Auditorium located on Camden.
Little Miss Dublin is open to kindergarten and 1st graders, Jr. Miss Dublin is open to 4th through 6th graders and Miss Dublin is open to girls who are sophomores through seniors.
In order to compete in the pageants, girls must live in the 76446 zipcode or attend Dublin ISD.
Those wanting to register for the pageant can pick up applications from the schools or from the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Office located at 112 N. Grafton.
Pageant organizer Sarah McNeal-Weaver and her team said this year’s event is focused on the event being fruitful, educational and fun while providing a full-on show for the community.
This year pageant organizers are also again providing enrichment courses for contestants including interviewing skills, resume building, makeup and skin care and more.
“It’s not just about a beauty pageant,” McNeal-Weaver said. “We want them to leave with confidence and an education even if they don’t walk away with a crown.”
Participants will be seeking sponsorships again this year from community businesses in order to add to scholarship funds which the Dublin Chamber will be providing for the winners of the Miss Dublin pageant again this year.
McNeal-Weaver said the chamber has been so honored to have Miss Dublin 2025 Vanessa Pantoja serve throughout the year.
Pantoja shared that serving as Miss Dublin has been a dream come true and would encourage all young ladies to try the pageant, even if they are scared or feel like they may not be a typical “pageant girl.”
“We really want to teach everyone to have confidence,” McNeal-Weaver said.
