Body

The Dublin Garden Club held its monthly meeting Jan. 14 in the home of DJ Klutts. Sally Schlautman was co-hostess.

The program was presented by DJ Klutts on one of our vegetable garden favorites, tomatoes. DJ talked about how to save tomato seeds from your favorite tomato plant to turn them into productive tomato plants and tomatoes year after year This is how our ancestors did it since they did not have access to seeds and plants like we do today. Also discussed were the various types of tomato plants, heirloom and newer developed varieties. In addition, various diseases and how best to manage was discussed.

Their next meeting is Feb. 11. Our guest speaker will be Paul Bradberry owner of Bradberry Feed Store. We have informative guest speakers each month and invite you to join us. Please contact President Mary Howard at 254-977-3686 for more information.
