This Saturday will mark Dublin Rodeo Heritage’s Museum Living Legends Hall of Fame Induction of rodeo entertainer of Bobby Kerr.
Known for incredible entertainment at rodeos across the country, the museum will posthumously honor Kerr’s legacy.
The induction ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Cole’s General Store and the Dublin Rodeo Museum. Tickets include a meal and refreshments.
Guest speaker for the event will be Cowboy Entrepreneur Scott Knudsen.
He hosts the weekly Cowboy Entrepreneur show featured on Equine Network’s Horse Radio Network.
Kerr, who died in September 2025, was a beloved six-time PRCA Specialty Act of the Year, known for his unique mustang and dog act, and was a member of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.
“His memory will be a big part of keeping our local Rodeo Heritage alive,” organizer Rick Taylor said.
Born in Canada, Kerr ran away from home at the age of 14 after seeing a Roy Rogers movie to pursue his dream of becoming a cowboy in America.
His love for preserving cowboy heritage led him and his wife Susan to start the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in Hico in 1997, which was later moved to the Fort Worth Stockyards.
In 2011, with the encouragement and support of family and close friends, Bobby entered his first Extreme Mustang Makeover. Kerr went on to win the 2012 Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover, place 2nd and 3rd at the 2013 Mustang Million, and claim another championship in 2020.
He will be remembered not only for his artistry, poetry, and horsemanship, but also for his faith, determination, and how he touched lives in every arena.
The dedication of the Bobby Kerr Memorial Foyer will also take place at the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum on Dec. 20.
