TEMPLETON
Robert Benton Templeton was born on November 9, 1943 in Granbury TX to Robert Foster Templeton and Winona Ruth Delay. Ben, as he was known to everyone, passed away peacefully on his birthday November 09,2025. He was 82 years old. Ben was preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Ruth Hodges, and his son, David Adrian Templeton.
He is survived by his older brothers and sisterin- laws ,John and Hazel Templeton, and Tom and Nancy Templeton.
Ben has 3 grandchildren, Kelly Spence, Alex Gross, and Holly Hodges. He also has 1 great granddaughter Elliana Gross. He is also survived by 3 nephews, 2 nieces, 4 great nephews, 9 great nieces along with a host of other family relatives , and friends that will miss his presence here on earth; but will celebrate his homecoming with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ben’s college degree was in biology. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved nature and enjoyed being outside where he could observe trees, plants, birds, and all kinds of wildlife in their natural habitats. He chose dairy farming as his occupation for many years before deciding to retire and write short stories about his life experiences. His favorite pets were often found as major characters in those stories. Ben loved his children, his family, friends and neighbors. He will be missed and those who knew him well knew you could always count on Ben to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Rest in peace Ben knowing you are loved by many.
