Toys for Tots seeking donations

The local community is being called to help make Christmas merry for local kids as Toys for Tots drop boxes have been put up throughout Dublin and Stephenville.

Lilly G Arena Productions is aiding the Marine Corps Reserves with the area event.

Locals can drop unwrapped toys in the boxes through Dec. 8 to be wrapped and delivered to make the holiday brighter for children in the community.

“We do this to help bring Christmas Joy to local children, and to deliver a message of hope and a positive experience to children at Christmas,” Lilly G Arena Productions CEO Rick Taylor said. “There are yearround programs like the Toys for Tots Literacy program and the Foster care program which provide books, educational resources and essential gifts to children in need.”

Dublin locations include: Dublin EDC (at Blackjack Office Center), Dublin City Hall, The Dublin Citizen newspaper office, Golden Chick Dublin, Dublin Dairy Queen, Backwoods, Dublin Rodeo Museum, Texas Sage and Texas Bank Dublin.

Stephenville locations include: CASA for the Cross Timbers Area, Ollie’s, Texas Bank Stephenville and The Legacy Center.

Those who are seeking applications can pick them up at the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and in Stephenville at CASA for the Cross Timbers Area on Graham St. Deadline for applications is Dec. 11.

Distribution for Toys will be from 1-7 p.m. Dec. 18 at United Co-op Community Room at 1200 Glen Rose Road in Stephenville.
