    A fatality wreck occurred when a vehicle drove into a home in the 800 block of Blackjack Thursday, Oct. 9.

    A variety of emergency services responded to the crash when a vehicle driven by Marcus Allen Burleson, 44, left the roadway and drove into a home owned by the Zinck family.

    Burleson was injured in the crash and airlifted by CareFlite. Burleson then passed away.

    An autopsy has been requested by Dublin PD due to suspecting the crash was possibly medically related.

    Members of the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department were able to help the Zinck family stabilize their home.

    Burleson was a wellknown and loved veteran who became a double-arm amputee after attempting to render an IED safe during a tour in Afghanistan in 2011. The Marine earned the following medals: Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, (3) Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, (1) Sea Service Deployment ribbon, 2 Navy Unit Citation, NATO ISAF Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Purple heart, Combat Action Ribbon.
