The Sound of Dublin and other local bands are tuning up for the 5th Annual Harry Bradberry Marching Contest Saturday, Oct. 4 at Cervetto Field.
Each band will perform their routine in preparation for the upcoming Area competition.
Admission to the Bradberry Classic is $5 each or $3 for students. Concessions will also be on site with proceeds going to the band program. In addition to food and snacks, there will also be merchandise, a coffee truck and a snow cone stand.
Band director Cathryn Smith reported volunteers are needed to ensure the success of the day-long event. Those who would like to help or donate to the program can message the Sound of Dublin Facebook page.
The schedule is as follows:
10 a.m. - Early
10:15 a.m. - Bangs
1:15 p.m. - Cross Plains
1:30 p.m.-DeLeon
1:45 p.m.- Peaster
2 p.m.- Comanche
3:15 p.m.- Poteet
3:30 p.m.- Goldthwaite 4 p.m.- Cisco
4:15 p.m.-Sound of Dublin Band Finals start at 5:45 p.m. with Santo, Millsap, Goldthwaite and DeLeon. Dublin’s exhibition performance will be 8:45 p.m. followed by the announcement of winners at 9 p.m.
