A chance to step back into time will take place this Saturday as the Third Annual Mason Brooks Memorial Ride for Sobriety Trail Ride will take place.

The ride is $25 per rider and there are still a few spots available in chuckwagons for those who may not want to ride a horse. The fee includes the ride, entertainment and all meals, and the event is organized by Lily G Arena Productions.

Registration and breakfast will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Dublin City Park with the ride beginning at 9 a. m.

Riders will travel north 8 miles along FM 219 to Nozy Nabor Park.

“Enjoy wildlife, visit with folks along the way as we go back in time to 1880, buckboards and chuckwagons,” organizer Rick Taylor said. “Experience the old west as trail ride and cowboy history is brought to life by Frank Sharp, of the Fort Griffin original Texas Longhorn herd.”

Dublin Renegades Chapter of the XFDA (Xtreme Fast Draw America) will also be hosting an event from 1-5 p.m. at No-zy Neighbor Park located at 14955 N FM 219, following the trailride and historical presentations.

The cost is $5 to get five shots to test your skills on the state of the art mobile range. Equipment, coaching and safety training will be provided.
