TxDOT continues request for citizen input

Body

TxDOT is asking for the public’s help in identifying where pedestrian crossings should be on Patrick Street.

As part of the ongoing Dublin Business 67 (Patrick Street) project, an informational meeting was held Tuesday, June 26 at the Dublin Intermediate School. At this meeting the public was allowed to give input regarding foot traffic at intersections on Patrick Street.

For those who were unable to attend the meeting, input can still be provided through a survey at www.TxDOT.gov and search “Bus 67 (Patrick Street).

Maps of current conditions and proposed changes are also available online to make input easier. Surveys can also be mailed to TxDOT Fort Worth District Office, c/o Emmanuel Navarro, 2501 Southwest Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76133.

Survey input is due by Wednesday, July 9 or postmarked by that date if you are using the postal service.

“Community feedback is an important part of TxDOT’s project development process. Our engineers do a lot of work analyzing the data, studying traffic patterns, and applying best practices, but people of Dublin know their city and community best. Survey responses will help TxDOT better understand how these ramps and crosswalks are used to make sure our project fits this community’s specific needs,” TxDOT Public Information Officer Bethany Kurtz said.

The U.S. 67 Business roadway resurfacing project covers Patrick Street, from the intersection with Clinton Street to the intersection with Blackjack Street.

The project consists of the following work: repairing the roadway, removing brick, repaving, replacing curb and gutter, installing storm sewer systems, and pavement markings (i.e. striping) and is anticipated to last a year and a half with completion set for Fall 2026.

TxDOT officials addressed concerns about the ongoing construction project on Patrick and reassured citizens that at least one entrance to each business down the roadway will remain open as the project is completed.
