Comanche County Museum launches summer activities
The Comanche County Museum has launched summer activities including an arts and crafts show from Thursday, June 26 through Thursday, July 10.
All are invited to bring their homemade arts and crafts to display in the Comanche county Museum Show. Members of the Comanche Art Association will also have their art on display.
Anyone who does quilting, crochet, knitting, tatting or cross stitch, painting, or drawing, is welcome to display their work. There are several large tables and rooms available to display work.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday – Saturday located at 402 Moorman Rd. Comanche, TX 76442.
Free Meals for children 18 and under
Dublin ISD will once again be offering free Summer Meals to those under 18 from through June 26.
Meals are available Monday through Thursday at the Dublin Intermediate School located at 609 N. Thomas.
Breakfast is served 7-8 a.m. and lunch is served from 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Mark your calendar for fish fry
The Stephenville Area Elks Lodge No. 2834 is encourage everyone to mark their calendars for its All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry at 6 p.m. July 19.
For $15, participants get fish, fries, hush puppies and tea. The meal will start at 6 p.m. and last until the run out. The lodge is located at 1560 Hyman St. in Stephenville.
Firework sales open June 24-July 4
Fireworks stands are now open in Erath County and Texas through July 4.
Fireworks may NOT be discharged in the city limits of Dublin or Stephenville, and cannot be set off alongside TxDOT roadways. Be safe!
Community Benefit Saturday for area firefighter's family
There will be a community benefit to raise funds for the family of an area firefighter facing new medical challenges.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Legacy Center, located at 830 S. Graham Ave. in Stephenville.
The fundraiser will be $15 for a barbecue plate including a sandwich, chips and a drink. Participants can also dunk a firefighter for $2 per dunk.
Humane Society new shelter groundbreaking
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27 for the future home of the Erath County Humane Society. Everyone is invited! The shelter will be located at 1300 CR 454.
