Colleges recognize students from area

A number of local natives were recognized by their respective universities for their work in the Spring 2025 semester.

Midwestern State University announced Chloey Rollins of Dublin among 350 students who made the Dean’s Honor Roll and Parker Plaxco of Stephenville among 267 who made the Provost’s Honor Roll.

To make the Provost’s Honor Roll, a student must complete 12 hours in one semester with a grade point average of 3.75 to 3.99 and no grade lower than C. To make the Dean’s Honor Roll, a student must complete hours in one semester with a grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74 and no grade lower than C. The student cannot have semester grades of I, WF or NC.

- Angelo State University in San Angelo, has announced students achieving the Dean’s List designation for the 2025 spring semester including several locals.

To be eligible for the ASU Dean’s List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

South Plains College named Landry Youngblood of Stephenville and Reagyn Zant of Hico as it congratulated over 800 students named to the Spring 2025 dean’s list.

- Houston Binkley of Dublin was named to Sam Houston State University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. The students listed on the Dean’s List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.
