David Dewayne “Sky” Walker passed away from this life on April 20, 2025, at the age of 42. He was born Jan.18, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas. David moved to Stephenville, Texas, in junior high, making many lifelong friendships. He was a local standout at Stephenville High School and was an integral part of the 1998–99 Yellow Jacket State Champion football team. His coach, Coach Cervetto, gave him the nickname “Sky” Walker, and it stuck with him for life. Football was his favorite pastime, and he went on after high school to play for several semi-pro teams, including Erath County Coyotes and North Texas Stampede. He was a great friend to many and an exceptional brother to his siblings. He excelled above and beyond with the same energy in all walks of his life. Never a will to give up…steady forward. When one fell along the way, he was there to pick them up as best he could. David was the type of man who would stand and get through it with you. He was the BEST FRIEND. He was definitely a people person and rarely met a stranger. His daughter, Tayci, was his pride and joy, and you could often catch him at one of her many academic or athletic events.
David will be missed by many whose lives he has impacted and loved forever.
He married Tiffany Williams Aug. 29, 2016.
David is survived by his daughter, Tayci Weaver; his sister, Tyra Walker; his brother, Kevin Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
