Dublin graduate Quentin Noel has enjoyed a long career working for the City of Stephenville and Erath County.
Noel went to Dublin schools through his junior year, when he switched to the paradigm school. He graduated from there in 2002, and Noel went on to Texas State Technical College, where he studied automotive technology for a year.
In 2003, he moved back to Dublin and found a job at the City of Stephenville, where he worked in maintenance for 15 years, keeping up city properties like parks. “It was a good job, and laid, back,” he said.
In 2018, he switched to the city’s street department, and earned his Class A CDL to blade the roads and operate heavy equipment for city jobs.
In 2024, after 21 years with the City of Stephenville, Noel took a new job for Erath County. He does many of the same things, including road maintenance, and also runs dump trucks.
Noel enjoys the job; he likes the pace and the schedule (he works Monday through Friday, 7-3:30). He hopes to continue working for the county for the foreseeable future.
When he’s not working, Noel loves spending time at the lake with his wife, Mindy. The couple has a pontoon boat and a camper, and frequent lakes in the area. “We’re lake bums, me and my wife,” he said. “We go to the lake quite often, to Lake Proctor, Lake Whitney, PK Lake.”
Noel has been married to Mindy for five months. The two met two years ago playing darts at the Bull Nettle. Mindy is a registered nurse and currently works in Cleburne.
Noel has one biological child, Bailey Wright, 22, and three step children, Shelby Hargrove, 25, Saydee Hargrove, 19, and Dawson Hargrove, 23.
Noel’s father and stepmother, Benny and Sandra Noel, live in Dublin, as does his mother, Kayla Lowery (her husband Bobby Lowery passed away in 2010). He has six siblings, Christina Hayes, Shane Dale, Chad Bigham, and Sheri, Jeff and Michael Lowery.
Throughout his life, Noel has been inspired by his work and his family. “I love my job, and I love my wife and kids,” he said.
Noel’s advice to Dublin graduates is to cultivate a sense of excitement about your life. “Live life with passion,” he says.
