DHS students earn academic awards

Dublin High School students were rewarded for their hard work in their annual Academic Awards hosted Tuesday, May 13.

Student achievements are as follows. (Those omitted have already been featured elsewhere in the newspaper throughout the semester.)

Top 10% Class of 2025 (wearing gold cords): Valedictorian Wendy Calderon, Salutatorian Sydney Master, Joel Sanchez, NavaLee White, Bailey Watson, Isabella Velazquez and David Hernandez.

Ranger College graduates earning Associates in Art, Science, Cosmetology and Welding Associates: Sydney Master, Isabella Velazquez, Wendy Calderon, NavaLee White, Bailey Watson, Joel Sanchez and David Hernandez.

Welding: Kevin Collazo, Alfredo Lopez, John Medina, Geovanny Almazan and Brandon Bullard Cosmetology: Esther Anguiano, Estrella Alvizu and Andrea Estrada.

Fifty seniors will be wearing red cords during graduation in honor of them being blood donors for Carter Blood Care. They must have donated at least twice in order to earn the cords.

Thirty nine seniors will be wearing gold stoles for their community service hours. They must have had at least 40 hours of community service and the senior class donated 2,005 hours to the community during this school year.
