New Bethel CME Women's Conference will present Women Under Construction from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at Best Western Plus located at 121 S. Lockhart Road in Stephenville.
Admission is $30 online or at the door. Register at nbcmestephenville.com. Speakers include Minister Patsy Harper speaking on Renovation and Sister Christal Walker speaking about 'Building Up.' The menu will include a garden salad, smoked ribs, brisket and smoked sausage, green beans, potato salad, angel eggs, sweet corn bread, dinner rolls, beverages and desserts.
All women are invited to attend, organizers said.
Tarleton State University will celebrate spring 2025 graduates with commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, at Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus.
Tarleton State President Dr. James Hurley will preside over three ceremonies which will include graduate and undergraduate students.

High School Graduations set for Friday, May 23
The Dublin High School Class of 2025 will walk across the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, May 23 at Norma and Bob Cervetto Field. The Lingleville High School Class of 2025 will also walk across the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, May 23 at the Lingleville High School gym. Both ceremonies are open to the public.
