The Stephenville City Council held a brief set of meetings Tuesday evening, moving quickly through its agenda with minimal discussion or action in open session.

The committee meeting lasted only two minutes and included just one item: the appointment of Lisa Pendleton as Alternate 1 to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The appointment was approved without opposition.

Immediately following, the council convened for a special meeting. After calling the meeting to order, council members moved into a closed executive session to discuss per the agenda ‘pending or contemplated litigation.’

Upon returning to open session, the council voted to direct the city attorney to move forward with the items discussed during the closed-door session. No further action was taken.

Both meetings adjourned without additional comment from city officials.
