Dublin Veterinary Clinic and the community is benefitting from the addition of a new face as Dr. Price Ruffin, DVM has joined the practice.

Ruffin is a Mason native who earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2018. He earned his DVM in 2023.

Ruffin remembers wanting to be a doctor from a young age but didn’t know if he wanted patients with two legs or four.

“I was torn between being a human or veterinary doctor in school,” he recalled. “I really enjoyed all the things on the vet side more than the human side… I enjoy working with livestock so this just seems to be a better fit.” After getting his Bachelor’s, Ruffin moved to Kansas where he worked he worked in a beef cattle practice.

Dr. Ruffin has been working in the Coleman Veterinary Clinic since March 2024, but was familiar with this area since his wife Kylie (Manning) Ruffin grew up around Alexander and attended Tarleton. She works as a nurse practitioner in Brownwood.

Ruffin finds the area comfortable since he grew up in the rural area of Mason and is already enjoying his new practice.

“Dr. [Dennis] Reed and Dr. [Jacy] Bingham are great mentors,” he said. “There’s a really good mix of small and large animals [seen by the clinic], and there are some super great people I’ve got to work with.”

“It’s a really well-established, well-run practice,” he added.

In his free time, Price enjoys hunting, fishing and raising livestock.

When asked if he had anything to say to the people of Dublin, he said, “Thanks for having me here. I’m excited to meet everybody and help them out.”
