DHS golfers traveled to the Hideout at Brownwood Monday, March 24 for the first round of district competition with several in the running for regional competition. The finalist will be determined as they travel to Mineral Wells’ Holiday Hills Monday, March 31.
DHS head golf coach Wes Grisham reported the boys team is currently 7th place out of 10 teams, sitting 2 strokes behind Breckenridge.
“Kaden Gaitan (the Dublin leader at 78 strokes) is in the running for regional qualifier as an individual but six other players are in the running as well,” said Grisham. “We’re looking to score well at Holiday Hills in Mineral Wells and potentially have a multiplayer playoff.”
“Bailey Watson is also in the running for a regional qualifier as individual as she scored 105,” Grisham added.
“She is in the running along with two other girls.”
Dublin golfers also got the following scores in the first round: Hayden Milburn- 106 Jace Mendez- 111 Joe Salinas- 113 Hudsen Joslin- 116 Alex Teten- 124 Kyler Gaitan- 132
