Revitalize Dublin has kicked off a home improvement grant program aimed at helping home owners and the community by beautifying local properties.
The grants – up to $500 – allow for a 50/50 match when residents complete exterior painting, wood repairs, windows or landscaping such as bushes, trees or seasonal flowers. Homes must be inside the city limits.
The homeowners will pay for all improvements and then the nonprofit organization will reimburse them up to 10 days afterwards.
For large projects, assistance through the organization may be available.
Before and after photos will be taken to show the work has been completed.
“There are no qualifications such as low income, people just have to apply for it,” Revitalize Dublin organizer Lori Beggs said. “They just have to show that they’ve done the work.”
To apply for the grants, go to revitalizedublin.com/grants and print an application. Applications can then be returned into the Revitalize Dublin drop box at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce or email revitalizedublin@ gmail. com.
