The following first responder calls were made March 3 -March 9. Local first responders handled 91 calls during this timeframe.

Dublin PD March 3

A vehicle search with consent was completed by Dublin PD and a warning was given.

PD responded to a two-vehicle collision with air bag deployment on Mesquite.

Code enforcement responded to the 700 block of Elm Street for burn ban violations.

PD responded to a false alarm in the 200 block of South Patrick.

A sign fell in the 800 block of North Patrick due to the wind.

March 4

An abandoned vehicle with front end damage was parked in one of the stalls at Sonic.

An alarm was activated in the 200 block of South Patrick.

A power line was reported possibly down in the area of Gracie.

Traffic hazard was reported on Clinton when an oversized load hit power lines and blocked the road.

A reporting person advised a vehicle left their pump on while going into Allsup’s and there was diesel fuel all over the parking lot.

A reporting person in the 100 block of Mesquite stated the apartment complex across the street was having their roof done, and there were roofing nails/tacks all over. They’ve had to replace tires multiple times.

PD responded to an alarm in the 200 block of South Patrick.

March 5

PD responded on a welfare check.

An animal at large call was made regarding a non-aggressive dog in the 100 block of West Mesquite.

A building check was complete in the 2200 block of East Hwy. 6.

March 6

A search was completed and an open container was found. Citation written.

A suspicious vehicle was checked on at the gas station. Driver was falling asleep and pulled over into gas station parking lot to nap.

PD helped a motorist on E. Hwy. 6.

PD assisted on a mental health concern call with a teen.

PD investigated a green Charger that was speeding and unable to maintain lane. Unable to locate.

There was a loose calf in front of the airport.

Police responded to a disturbance over custody.

A suspicious person was reported when a man wearing a yellow vest was reported to be walking around in the 600 block of North Post Oak. PD was unable to locate.

March 7

An individual was running and almost got hit by a vehicle.

March 8

An officer was requested because an individual was trying to get a hotel room for her friend because of intoxication.

A vehicle was reported stolen in the 300 block of O’Brien.

PD, EMS and Fire were called for a one vehicle roll over by Allsup’s.

An alarm was activated at 300 North Davis when glass was broken.

An individual was needing to surrender their dog because they were unable to take care of the animal.

PD followed up on a welfare concern in the 600 block of South Patrick when someone was sleeping in their vehicle in front of the store.

28 traffic stops were completed for the week.

Dublin EMS

March 3 – EMS responded to a baby dropped on its head. EMS responded to an employee that had an injury to a leg, possibly broken. EMS responded to a young man stung by 30-40 bees. EMS responded to an elderly female with neck problems.

March 4 – EMS responded to an elderly male having neck, shoulder pain and difficulty swallowing. EMS responded to an elderly male who fell in the pasture and thinks he may have broken his leg or hip.

March 6 – An 8-yearold hit their hand on the bleachers and was transported to the ER.

March 7 – An elderly female was transported for stroke like symptoms. A driver was pulled over for speeding due to a family member in the car having shortness of breath.

March 9 – A teenager may have taken drugs at a party. EMS responded to a young lady whose left leg and face hurts.

Dublin Fire

March 4 – A grass fire was reported on CR 516. FD was unable to locate a reported grass fire on CR351.

March 5 – Fire investigation after smoke was seen on CR 373/CR 242.

March 6 – A citation was written for a burn ban violation on Post Oak.

March 7 – a person was welding on East State Hwy. 6 and the grass caught on fire. Dublin FD was requested for mutual aid on a grass fire in the High Point Park area.
