A fatality accident occurred Friday, Feb. 7 on U.S. Hwy. 67 in Comanche County when a vehicle struck a parked 18-wheeler on the roadway.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Transportation, Lynn Harrison Vadah, 64, from Stephenville was driving a 2017 Buick Enclave Sports Utility Vehicle, driving west on Hwy. 67. She struck a 2016 Mack truck-tractor towing semi trailer operated by Jerry Wayne Pack, 67, also of Stephenville.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Vadah steered across the center median of Hwy. 67 and through the eastbound lanes, striking the truck that was parked on the south shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
Vadah was not wearing a seatbelt and died in the collision. She was pronounced deceased by Justice of Peace Johnnie Conine.
Pack was not injured in the accident.
