Tarleton State University’s Dr. Deborah Liles begins the season’s Tuesday Talks at 6 p.m. Feb. 18, at the W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center in Thurber.
Tuesday Talks share the expertise of Dr. Liles. The first talk will cover the use of historical census data for genealogical and academic research.
Dr. Liles became Tarleton State’s W.K. Gordon Center Endowed Chair of Texas History in 2018. She teaches history with an emphasis on Texas, women, slavery, local communities and ranching. She also works with the W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center in addition to serving on the board of several historical associations statewide.
