Comanche County Crops CEU Program
We always offer several programs throughout the year that not only provide great education, but also an opportunity to get those CEU’s. One excellent program we have coming up that is designed to help everyone get needed hours and keep up on the latest pesticide technology and laws is the “Comanche County Crops Program.” This crop program is packed with excellent information and lots of CEU’s. The program will be held Friday, February 21st at the Comanche Community Center located on 101 Indian Creek Drive. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM and the program will run from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. We will be offering 5 total CEU’s: 3 L&R’s, 1 IPM, and 1 Drift. We will also be providing Auxin Training for those that might need it. There is a $50.00 fee and lunch will be provided.
Here is the line-up for this program: “Auxin Training”- Dr. Scott Nolte “Native Pecan IPM”-IPM agent Kyle Slusher “ TDA Sprayer Maintenance and Drift Management”- Kyle Thompson, TDA “TDA Laws and Regulations”- Jason Jones “Legal Feral Hog Control Methods and Toxicants,” James Long, Texas A&M NRI This will be a very valuable training for both private applicators and commercial applicators. All the speakers are excellent, and the presentations will be awe-inspiring for all participants. Texas Forest Service Tree Sales The Texas Forest Service is offering trees for sale again this year and the deadline to order is February 14th. If you are interested, you have one week to get us your orders. All trees will be delivered on the week of February 17th. They offer many varieties, some in container tubes and others as bare root. All trees are sold in a lot of 25 and there are many varieties available. If you are interested, please call or come by the office for a price list of available trees.
