    The Lingleville Cardinals scored a pair of wins last week as they hosted a successful Teddy Bear Toss Tuesday, Dec. 17.

    As the teams got ready to take the court, a countdown commenced and almost 100 stuffed animals were thrown onto the hardwood for players to gather for delivery to kids at Cooks Children’s Hospital. Lingleville head boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart reported both sides of the gym got into the spirit to make the fundraiser a success.

    The Cardinals followed the collection with a 65-30 defeat of Gorman to star district strong.

    They followed this with a 72-34 win over Three Way.

    The cardinals went into break 11-5, 2-0 in district.
