GOOD. Water stained; 68 degrees; 1.69 feet above pool. Black bass to 6.50 pounds are excellent on Hag’s Jigs and swimbaits in the grass and weeds, or with crankbaits off the rocks in 5-10 feet around the rock cuts. Crappie are slow around docks with brush on minnows and some off shore brush piles. White bass are slow on crankbaits around the lighted docks. Catfish are fair on shad and cut bait.
GRANBURY
GOOD. Water stained; 72 degrees; 0.15 feet below pool. Water temperatures have finally fallen into the upper 60s to low 70s and will continue to fall. Water levels continue to be about a foot low on Granbury. Striped bass are close to channel ledges and are best on live shad or trolled umbrella rigs on the lower ends. Some good striped bass are also being caught from the Shores to Bentwater area. Sand bass action is tremendous on many areas of the lake. Most of the sand bass are small, but there are good fish mixed in. Sand bass are good on slabs and spinners on shallow humps and flats in 7-20 feet of water. Look for the birds. Largemouth bass continue to be good in numbers with some good fish to 6lbs possible on main lake points and around creek entrances.
POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 67 degrees; 0.16 feet below pool. Striper are fair with a few being caught on live bait. Your best bet is to just put baits in the water and slowly move around with the trolling motor until you find them. Once you find them, try to stay with them but that will be difficult because the fish are moving fast and not staying still. Sand bass are still slow to fair in 20-30 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs or rattle traps. White and silver are good colors. Catfish are still fair to good up the river near Rock Creek Camp. Cut shad is producing good numbers of fish in 10-30 feet of water fished on or near the bottom. Water clarity is steady at 4-10ft of visibility.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 2.54 feet above pool. Copperas Creek day use and westside dock and ramp has been a popular area for anglers. Promontory Park Day use boat ramp is open. Early morning fishing on jugs has been productive for catfish. Hybrid bass are schooling in the morning under the birds.
WEATHERFORD
FSLOW. Water heavily stained; 80 degrees; 4.66 feet below pool. Bass are slow in shallow water on swimbaits and spinnerbaits. Small crappie are fair with fish suspended in open water near brush piles with jigs and minnows. This bite should improve when the weather gets colder. Catfish are fair along the rocks with cut bait. Water visibility is 2-3 inches.
