DISD to honor veterans
Dublin ISD will be honoring veterans Monday, Nov. 11 at the High School.
If you are a veteran and would like to be involved in the Veterans Day Program, call Mrs. Teten at the high school (254-445-0362) by Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Free Trick-or-Treat Map Signups underway
Plan to give out candy this Halloween on October 31? Signup for this year's free candy map! The map is organized by members of Revitalize Dublin and supported by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Masonic Lodge hosting chili cook-off, blood drive Saturday
The Stephenville Masonic Lodge will host a chili cook-off and blood drive Saturday, Oct. 19 at the lodge (244 S. Columbia).
Entry fees for the cook-off are $20 with prizes awarded for first and second place. Everyone is invited to come enjoy chili, cornbread and ice cream with tickets set at $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 10. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Benevolent Aid and High School scholarships. The event will also feature an open house and door prizes.
The cook-off will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the blood drive held in conjunction with the Scottish Rite and Carter Bloodcare will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For cook-off info, call (254) 977-4197. — submitted
Free painting party Monday, Oct. 21 at CWJC
There will be a free fall paint and cider event from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at CWJC/Transformation Pathways.
The class is being taught by Brittaney Gant. Bring your friends or your little artist over, for a mommy and me paint lesson. Enjoy fellowship with cider and cookies.

Historical Museum hosts Sports Heroes Day
The Comanche County Historical Museum invites everyone to the 2nd Comanche County Sports Heroes Day from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, located at 402 Moorman Rd. in Comanche.
The museum will possibly have special guests with former professional sports heroes with memorabilia and trophies on display. There will be videos of past sports heroes on the museum's touch screen experience. Call 325-356-5115 for more information.
Kingdom Threads to host free Winter Coat Drive
Kingdom Threads will be hosting its winter coat giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 26 at First Baptist Church.
There will be free clothes, shoes, hats, coats, bags, scarves, gloves and other accessories too for all ages! All items are free of charge.
