BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 0.29 feet below pool. Black bass catches up to 7 pounds are fair on buzz baits and spinnerbaits in the new water in the grass and weeds, or on crankbaits off the rocks in 2-8 feet around the rock cuts. Crappie are slow with catches up to 11 inches around docks with brush on minnows in 12-15 feet. White bass are fair with catches up to 1 pound on crankbaits and some schooling action. Catfish are fair 6 pounds on baited holes or drifting cut shad on the main lake flats.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 83 degrees; 0.15 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures are in the low 80s due to the recent cool down but are sure to rise some. Water levels have risen and are close to normal pool. Striped bass are on the move and are scattered from Bentwater to Striper Alley. Striped bass are good on trolled Alabama rigs and on gizzard shad. Sand bass action is good on slabs and spinnerbaits from the Shores in town, Indian Harbor and near Blue Water shores. Look for surface feeding in all these areas. Crappie action continues to be good on small jigs and minnows fished near standing timber from in town to near Water’s Edge to the timber close to the old hot water outlet.

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 1.47 feet below pool. Striped bass are slow, with live bait is putting fish in the boat every trip but nothing is consistent. Downriggers are very slow at the moment and not catching any fish. Any kind of artificial bait is fishing slow at the moment. Look for them in 30-50 feet of water. They are moving fast and not staying in one spot long. Sand bass are still slow. Look for them in 10-20 feet of water. Use live shad or small slabs and jigs or rattle traps. You may need to cast to the fish to keep from spooking them out of the area. white and silver are good colors. Catfish are fair on cut shad or your favorite brand of stink bait, also known as punch bait, is producing good numbers of fish in 20-30 feet of water fished on or near the bottom. The water temperature is ranging from 79-86 degrees. Water clarity is steady at 6-12 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 3.81 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species. Catfish are slow but can be caught from the bank on punch bait, in deep with cut bait, or on jug lines.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water heavily stained; 85 degrees; 3.21 feet below pool. Crappie fishing has improved to good with the best bite in the crappie house and deep brush piles with minnows. Catfish are fair along the rocks with cut bait and shad. Bass are slow on deeper water ledges with crankbaits and soft plastics. The lake continues to be heavily stained with about 6 inches of visibility compared to the normal 12 inches.
