Free Advanced Care Planning Class Sunday 

First Baptist Church will be hosting a free Advanced Care Planning Class with Pastor Weldon Branham. The free class is at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at the First Baptist Church Dublin Fellowship Hall.

Topics will include: Medical Power of Attorneys, Advanced Directives, Funeral Plans, Health Care options (Home Health, Hospice, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Private Duty) and Financial planning.

Saturday Fun Starts at the Market

Saturday will be a great day to be out in Dublin. Come first to shop at the Dublin Market, Wright Park 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.. We’ll have all sorts of unique items, including your favorite baked goods.

Kingdom Threads to host free Winter Coat Drive

Kingdom Threads will be hosting its winter coat giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 26 at First Baptist Church.

There will be free clothes, shoes, hats, coats, bags, scarves, gloves and other accessories too for all ages! All items are free of charge.

Ride for Sobriety set for Sunday, Sept. 29

The annual Ride for Sobriety will also be held Sunday, Sept. 29 starting at noon. The trail ride on horseback starts at Dublin City Park and travels eight miles to Nozy Nabor Park. Enjoy scenic FM 219 as you ride, experience wildlife, 1880s ladies, the occasional Indian Warrior and ladies on the prowl, organizers said.

The trail ride is $35 per rider and includes a meal and t-shirt. The ride benefits CWJC in Dublin. To sign up for the event call 254-459-0141. — submitted

Free Flu Shots offered Thursday, Oct. 3

There will be a free drive-thru flu vaccination event at First Baptist Church from 3-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.

The event is sponsored by Faith Community Nursing Program with Texas Health Resources. There is no insurance, no co-pay and no personal questions asked. It is available to anyone over 9 years old. It is a drive-thru event so there is no need for anyone to exit their vehicle. You may not receive a vaccine if you are ill or have a temperature. The church is located at 220 W.
