After significant rainfall throughout the county over the Labor Day weekend, Erath County Judge Brandon Huckabee officially canceled the burn ban Tuesday, Sept. 3.
In the event of starting a controlled burn outside the city limits, those burning are encouraged to call in to nonemergency dispatch to tell them a fire is being lit in order to save first responders from responding.
