Aug. 12

A caller on Highland Avenue advised there were tenants outside drinking, playing loud music and possibly smoking marijuana. Officer arrived on scene after subjects had left.

There was a report in the 700 block of North Patrick of a Chevy truck driving down the wrong side of the road, then pulling into a hotel and stumbling around. Officer made contact with the driver, and he was coming from out of town and took a wrong turn. Subject showed no signs of intoxication.

Aug. 13

A caller advised his wife stole his base line to his phone and he wants it back. Officer advised this would be a civil issue because they are married.

A reporting person from state requested assistance from Dublin PD at a business in 100 block of South Patrick.

A reporting person in the 200 block of North Grafton called over the weekend about a dog under his porch and Animal Control never followed up on Monday. Animal Control was made aware of situation and the dog was picked up.

Aug. 14

A reporting person in the 200 block of North Patrick found some bags with someone’s belongings inside including a gun. Officer retrieved the bag, and was able to contact the owner and the property was returned.

A reporting person came in the lobby to get a criminal trespass on someone. The reporting person stated that a guy on a bike was riding past her house and making threats towards them from the roadway. Officer made contact with the male subject and issued a criminal trespass from the property.

Aug. 15

After a domestic disturbance everyone separated. No charges were pressed.

There was a Hospice death. Officer on scene spoke with the nurse and everything was OK.

A reporting person found a 2-3 year old little girl walking down the 800 block of Blackjack. Officer made contact with the reporting person, the little girl and the parents. The child was released back to the parents.

A reporting person requested to speak to an officer about familial threats.

Aug. 16

A welfare check was done after suspected domestic abuse.

A welfare check was completed and everything was OK.

Aug. 17

A male on a bicycle took merchandise from a store and did not pay for it. Officer located the subject and he was given a citation for theft less than $100.

A reporting person can smell and see smoke but cannot locate the fire. Second caller sees smoke off Chancellor. Was a structure fire.

A reporting person requested a welfare check on her mom because she hasn’t been able to get in touch with her. Officer made contact and everything was OK.

A reporting party advised her neighbors are arguing. Officer made scene, spoke with parties and it was just a verbal argument. Parties agreed to stop arguing and go inside to bed.
