Dublin City Council will host a public hearing and special meeting Friday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. at city hall. The hearing will concern a planned gated subdivision near the Dublin public works yard off Harris.
The developer is looking to rent spots for up to 55 properties in the 11+ acre plot. Residents will own the modern manufactured homes installed there. The prospective property owner intends to have an office onsite for property upkeep as well as a playground and communal area for residents.
The public hearing and subsequent vote relate to the property being rezoned as SF-1B (dense family zoning). This vote is an early step in the planning process with passage enabling the process to continue.
The meeting will also include discussion on revising the single family ordinance, increasing the minimum livable floor space from 1,000 sq. ft. to 1,250 or 1,500.
Meetings are open to the public and City Hall is located at 213 E. Blackjack St.
