A reporting person heard six gunshots somewhere on Betty Street. Officers arrived in the area, searched where the shots were heard, spoke to neighbors who said they didn’t hear any gunshots.
Sexual assault of a child call referred to Erath County Sheriff’s Office.
May 28
A reporting person came to the station to report someone burning large piles of brush with no water source around and the ashes were falling into his pool on Vine/O’ Neil. The call was referred to Code Enforcement to make scene.
A civil standby was done so a female could get clothes and medication from her ex’s house.
A darker color small SUV was parked near the lane on the loop very close to the highway. Officer in the area did not locate any vehicle close to the highway parked.
May 29
A caller let her friend borrow her car and they have not brought it back. The reporting person tried multiple times to contact this person and they won’t return calls. Due to the caller allowing the subject to borrow the car it will be a civil matter.
A civil matter in reference to a vehicle that was loaned out and has not been seen since January. Officer spoke with the other party and she stated she got a loan to pay for the car, she paid it off to the reporting party and she refused to give the title over. Officer confirmed the loan was indeed borrowed for the vehicle. Officer advised the reporting party that this was a civil issue.
May 30
Reporting party received a message from his ex wife that his daughter was missing and there was broken glass. Officer spoke with mother and she advised she did leave the house to go to the playground but came back. Officer checked on daughter and she was fine. No broken glass or any signs of damage to the residence.
May 31
Dispatch received five 911 texts with no replies back. Officers spoke with the person who stated she changed her number to 911 and was sending screenshots to her friends. That person was advised she could not do that because it sends it to the 911 dispatch. Subject advised they did not know you could text 911.
June 2
There was a welfare check on a female on the side of the street in the 200 block of North Patrick searching for something. Officer spoke with the female, she had lost her phone and was looking for it.
There was a verbal disturbance between a male and female. The female was picked up and decided to stay with a family member.
There was an electric line down in a tree in the 600 block of Wateroak. Officer on scene did not observe the line sparking and contacted Oncor to assess the situation.
