Carter Blood Care needs O

Body

Carter BloodCare critically needs the public’s help with blood donations following recent devastating storms.

To treat those injured in North Texas storms, hospital demands for O negative blood have depleted Carter BloodCare’s available supply. The nonprofit blood center is urging all eligible donors – especially those with blood type O negative – to help the community by donating with Carter BloodCare as soon as possible.

O negative is critical because it is the universal blood type, meaning it can be used to treat any patient, regardless of their individual blood type.

There is a nonstop need for an available blood supply to provide quick emergency response. The North, Central and East Texas community is urged to donate at any Carter BloodCare donor center or mobile blood drive. It takes an hour to make a donation that can save three lives.
