DQ celebrates 50 years

Dublin Dairy Queen celebrated in all of its family-fun and community spirit for its 50th anniversary Saturday, Sept. 17. The event hosted free give-a-ways consisting of mugs, blankets, cakes, t-shirts and Orka water bottles, along with 50 cent ice cream cones and $5 steak finger baskets.

A “Back to the 70s” birthday party is planned for Moo-La’s 50th in downtown Stephenville Friday, Sept. 23. The event is hosted by the City of Stephenville and will include a ceremony and cow parade by the beautiful OSVE Dairy Holsteins at 5 p.m.

Lingleville honors fallen teacher

The Lingleville School board was joined Thursday, Sept. 15 by a group of students who wished to honor a teacher who made an impact. “He changed a lot of our lives in a short time,” said Joseph Briseno of agriculture teacher Scotty Ford, who recently passed away.
