Sales tax income down slightly

Dublin sales tax collections were down in February, at -9.41% lower compared to February 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar this month. Forthemonthof February 2023, Dublin received $36,640.35, compared to $40,450.70 in February 2022.

Tarleton State University’s Department of Fine Arts will conclude its spring season with several concerts. Thursday, Tarleton’s Jazz III ensemble, directed by Wade Girton, will play the music of Count Basie, Wayne Shorter and Thelonious Monk as well as compose a blues tune on the spot.
